Mission

Our department, which aims to be more recognized at national and international level and to be arbiter in international projects with its experienced graduates and research studies, has taken the following objectives as its task.

• To increase the number of those who prefer our department, to achieve a nationally and internationally recognized department level and to be accredited.
• In order to increase the education-teaching quality; To benefit from the project support programs offered within the framework of TUBITAK, SANTEZ, KOSGEB and the European Union.
• To increase the number of qualified faculty members in our department and encourage them to establish cooperation with industrial organizations in the region within the framework of University-Industry cooperation
• To increase the use of sustainable alternative energy sources by cooperating with relevant institutions in the education and research activities initiated by the department in areas such as electrical facilities and power systems, drive systems, industrial automation, robotics, biomedicine, communication technologies.
• To establish the necessary "Technology Development", "Quality Control", and "Vocational Training" centers for the region and the country in cooperation with other relevant institutions and to bring them effectiveness.
• To enable and encourage the communication of department faculty members with universities and colleagues abroad and and to pave the way for them to be sent abroad at appropriate times.
• To ensure that students are better motivated to our department, to raise the awareness of being the engineers of the future and to gain the ability to work efficiently and as a team with professional ethics during their student life.

History

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department started education in 2013 within the Faculty of Engineering of Siirt University. 

Our Education Goals

Graduates of Siirt University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, who have adopted the motto of continuous learning, after theri graduation; they produces solutions for the needs in the fields of communication systems, electronic hardware and software, industrial automation and control systems and power generation, transmission and distribution. Prepares projects on these issues, and implements these projects by mastering the social, economic, political, legal and environmental consequences within the framework.
